Synopsis:
What happens when maintaining status becomes a matter of survival? In this taut psychological drama short, ambitious Egyptian-American executive Adam Nadir and his wife Sara chase the final piece of their seemingly perfect life: a child. But beneath their polished Silicon Valley existence lies a web of deception, dependency and resentment. When a fertility clinic's devastating error threatens his precarious position in the powerful Morgan family's world, Adam faces an impossible choice. Through masterful storytelling that shifts between English and Arabic, Director Seif Elaswany's debut offers a raw, unflinching look at the dark lengths someone will go to preserve their place in a world they never truly owned, asking whether maintaining status is worth sacrificing your humanity.
