Synopsis:
This is a documentary film that pays tribute and celebrates the notable career of the late famous artist Nagy Shaker. Known mostly for his costume design and making of the puppets in the theatrical musical spectacle "El-leila El-kebira" (The Big Night), his career spans five decades involving all realms of the visual art scene from the 60’s of the last century onwards. Shaker was awarded The State Appreciation Award in 2015, an award granted by Egypt’s Supreme Council for Culture for his lifelong achievement. The film includes an interview with Shaker himself in which he talks ever so modestly about his experience as an experimental artist.
